*Watch me narrate, film & testify on TBA's Action Day live video feed!

The following video is from TPA's live facebook feed for Suwannee's Action Day. David Sugalski [aka TBA or The Polish Ambassador] starts the video with his own account of Action Day & then interviews 1 of our permaculture specialists + 2 volunteers. Then at ~7 minutes into the video TPA actually finds me & passes me the live feed camera to take over narrating while he got his hands dirty himself! From that point onto the end of the video I unearth one-of-a-kind testimonys from our hard working altruists. Lastly, at ~19:30 into the video, a fellow volunteer insists on getting my testimony so you can watch below, my impromptu message to the world about Action Day! Now check out for yourself, all this proactive magic that I'm whole-heartedly honored to help bring to you :^D

This Thursday morning, I'll be busy helping & documenting this amazing permaculture initiative!

this article explains:

1. what permaculture is & why it's important

2. what projects we will be realizing on behalf of the amazingly progressive permaculutre movement

3. the origin of the Purple Hatter's Ball Social Justice Celebration (Where this movement is being held)

4. Spirit of the Suwannee (the campgrounds where Purple Hatters Ball & this permaculture Action Day is being held)

ActionDays.us is honored to meet you at the intersection of music and activism in Live Oak Florida, on the banks of the Suwannee River!

Coming together on the day before the Purple Hatter's Ball 2016 Feat the Floozies, Papadosio, the Polish Ambassador and More, we bring the power of the people to the purpose of the place in an Action Day with The Polish Ambassador.

Join .us as we unite in action and have an amazing time, getting our hands in the dirt then raising them up in the air, with your choice of awesome activities that build skills, relationships, and actual stuff that makes the place better for our having been there:

Project 1.: restore and prepare garden areas to plant a food forest that will nourish the land and people for generations to come.

Project 2.: build multi-purpose waste management stations that reduce the amount of waste, energy, and resources consumed by inefficient disposal practices.

Project 3.: learn about soil testing (what's in the dirt, and is it good for you?), mycoremediation (mushrooms that clean it up!), permaculture (how plants, animals, and people interact together and more.

What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is a system of agricultural and social design principles centered around simulating or directly utilizing the patterns and features observed in natural ecosystems.

The term permaculture (as a systematic method) was first coined by David Holmgren, then a graduate student, and his professor, Bill Mollison, in 1978. The word permaculture originally referred to "permanent agriculture", but was expanded to stand also for "permanent culture", as it was understood that social aspects were integral to a truly sustainable system as inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka’s natural farming philosophy.

It has many branches that include but are not limited to ecological design, ecological engineering, environmental design, construction and integrated water resources management that develops sustainable architecture, regenerative and self-maintained habitat and agricultural systems modeled from natural ecosystems.

Mollison has said: "Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and thoughtless labor; and of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single product system."

~~~~~~~~***Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground***~~~~~~~~
The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is a one-of-a-kind music park and campground on the historic Suwannee River in North Florida.
The 600+ acre park has been family operated since the 1980s and features miles of hiking trails, canoe and kayak rentals, boat ramp, horseback riding, and a sandy beach on the river. There are multiple stages within the venue including a natural amphitheater that is a favorite spot for festival goers. Visitors can enjoy shaded primitive camping, RV sites or cabin rentals, as well as a restaurant and country store. The old growth forest and moss-covered oaks make this park a beloved destination for many.
The Suwannee River is a wild blackwater river that flows from southern Georgia to the Gulf of Mexico. Recognized as one of twelve National Showcase Watersheds, it is among the last U.S. rivers with a relatively unregulated flow through rural areas. The river basin supports a unique and diverse collection of flora and fauna and is scattered with a breath-taking array of springs.
~~~~~~~~***The Purple Hatters Ball Social Justice Celebration***~~~~~~~~
The Purple Hatter’s Ball is dedicated to the memory of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman (December 17, 1984 – May 7, 2008) a 23-year-old Florida State University graduate. Rachel loved going to festivals at Spirit of the Suwannee. She could often be found there, hanging out with her friends and listening to some great music.
Rachel was murdered while acting as a police informant during a drug sting that started on May 7, 2008. In remembering Rachel, we hope to increase awareness, inspire Confidential Informant Law reform and help our friends and family lead safer and healthier lives.
The Rachel Morningstar Foundation was created to educate the public about the risks for confidential informants (CIs) and benefit of guidelines for law enforcement's use of confidential informants. The organization successfully passed “Rachel’s Law” in Florida to provide protective measures for potential CIs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*** The Polish Ambassador ***~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Polish Ambassador (real name David Sugalski) is raising the bar for what it means to be a professionally touring musician. Sure, the electronic musician lays claim to producing the sweetest beats this side of the Milky Way Galaxy, but the world’s funkiest diplomat is also using his popularity to steer the millennial generation toward a nourishing and sustainable way of relating with art, community and the planet. From his role in birthing the Permaculture Action Movement (a movement where the energy of show/festival goers is catalyzed into community action) and founding Actiondays.us to creating a program where nutritious beverage options are available at music venues on a routed TPA tour, the ambassador is using his clout to make real, tangible change, and along the way inspiring hundreds of thousands.
